A Touch of Heaven: Remembering Loved Ones with Personalised Memorial Ornaments

A Touch of Heaven: Remembering Loved Ones with Personalised Memorial Ornaments

Diary Entry: December 15, 2024

Today, I received a Christmas ornament that took my breath away. It’s an angel, shaped beautifully, but what makes it truly special is the image on it. It’s a silhouette of a woman from behind, adorned with delicate angel wings. As soon as I saw it, I recognized her instantly—my dear friend Sarah. The details are so perfect; it feels like she’s right there with me. Even her hair style is exactly how she used to wear it.

Her name is adorned on the ornament, along with the date we lost her and a sweet message: “Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not.” It brought a rush of emotions, a mixture of warmth and sorrow. I can't believe it’s been a year since she left us. Each holiday season, I used to look forward to our time together, decorating the tree and reminiscing about the good times. Now, I’ll hang this ornament in her honor, a little piece of her spirit shining down on us.

As I place it on the tree tonight, I’ll light a candle and take a moment to remember her laughter and kindness. This ornament isn’t just a decoration; it’s a reminder that she’s still part of our lives, watching over us like the angel she always was. I miss her so much, but I know she’d want us to celebrate, even in her absence.
